{"id":720,"date":"2023-11-02T21:32:56","date_gmt":"2023-11-02T21:32:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.wsdm-conference.org\/2024\/?page_id=720"},"modified":"2023-11-02T22:10:55","modified_gmt":"2023-11-02T22:10:55","slug":"visa-support-letter","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.wsdm-conference.org\/2024\/visa-support-letter\/","title":{"rendered":"Visa Support Letter"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div id=\"section-g2f94cc\" class=\"wp-block-gutentor-e1 section-g2f94cc gutentor-element gutentor-element-advanced-text\"><div class=\"gutentor-text-wrap\"><p class=\"gutentor-text\">If you <a href=\"https:\/\/consulmex.sre.gob.mx\/toronto\/index.php\/en\/servicesforeigners\/doclegalization\/52-conservices\/225-visitors-who-do-not-require-a-visa-with-a-stay-up-to-180-days\">require<\/a> a visa to visit Mexico please follow the instructions below to request a Visa letter from ACM.\u00a0<br><br>Note that <strong>all foreign visitors, regardless of their nationality, traveling to Mexico for tourism, business or in transit to another destination, are exempt from presenting a Mexican visa as long as they have a valid visa issued by any the following countries: Canada, Japan, the United States of America, the United Kingdom or any of the countries comprising the Schengen Area.<\/strong><br><strong>Instructions to request a Visa Letter<\/strong><br><br>The Association for Computing Machinery does not issue formal invitation letters for visas to attend ACM sponsored conferences. We can however issue a visa support letter.\u00a0 The following info should be posted on the conference website:<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>ACM is able to provide visa support letters to attendees as well as authors with accepted papers, posters, or members of the conference committee.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you are a recipient of ACM, SIG, or Conference funded travel grant, please include this information in your request.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For visa support letters, refer all requests to supportletters@acm.org.&nbsp; Please allow up to 10 business days to receive a letter. All requests are handled in the order they are received. The information below should be included with the request:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Your name as it appears on your passport<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your current postal mailing address<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The name of the conference you are registering for.&nbsp; Only accepted authors may request a visa support letter prior to registering for the conference.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your registration confirmation number (If you are awaiting for Student Travel Award decisions please send the email stating this and CC wsdm-2024-general-chairs@googlegroups.com)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you have any papers accepted for the conference, please provide the title and indicate whether you are the \u201csole author\u201d or a \u201cco-author\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Authors may indicate their paper title.
