Airport Directions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When getting to the Merida airport there are several options for you to get to the conference hotel. I do recommend getting some cash from the Santander ATM before leaving the airport as it may be easier to pay taxis and buses in cash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ubers<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is Uber service around the city however they are not allowed to enter the airport. If you request an Uber you will see they stop about a mile away from the airport. That is where you would have to meet them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Authorized Taxis<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

They are stationed outside of the arrivals terminal. This is probably the fastest option to get to the Courtyard Marriot. However, they do stop running late at night. Taxis should accept credit cards but you should ask the taxi driver befor going in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flex Eco Taxis<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After leaving the baggage claim and passing all the car rental places but before completely leaving the arrival terminals you will find this business which accepts credit cards. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

ADO and Va Y Ven<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Right next to the Flex Eco Taxis is an ADO business they sell bus tickets for the local transportation \u201cVa y Ven\u201d. This bus ride takes about 40 minutes and it should leave you roughly a 5 minute walk from the Courtyard. The bus leaves every 30 minutes (on the hour) and is the only transportation that remains active until 2 am. It should charge you 45 pesos but they only accept cash. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Ask the driver or the desk about the \u201cADO Fiesta Americana\u201d stop, this is the stop you should get off. It is the 3rd stop on the bus. Once you get off the bus the Courtyard is only a few blocks away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leaving Merida<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The easiest way back to the airport is to ask the reception for a Taxi. Otherwise, you can ask them to point you in the nearest stop for the \u201cVa y Ven\u201d going back to the airport \u2014 you will have to pay cash for the Va y Ven. 
Important. <\/strong>A protest is scheduled for Friday 8th all day. The protest will block one of the main streets in the city. If you are leaving for the airport on Friday,  make sure to leave at least 1 hour before you would normally leave.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
