ACM SIGIR Student Travel Grants
The SIGIR Student Travel Grant Program provides funding for students who are members of ACM SIGIR to help cover the cost of travel and lodging to attend and contribute to WSDM 2019. To be eligible, the student applicant must: (1) be an author of an accepted research, demo, or DC paper, and (2) be the one presenting the work at the conference.
Students will be awarded fixed amounts ($1,000 or $2,000 USD) and the awards will be competitive in the sense that not every student will receive a Travel Grant.
The application process involves two steps: (1) the student must submit an application, which requires the student to explain what they wish to gain from attending WSDM 2019; and (2) independently, the academic advisor will be required to submit a statement of support.
Both application forms are available here.
The application period is Friday, October 26 to Friday, November 9 (AOE). Both student and academic advisor forms must be submitted before the end of the application period.
