This year, WSDM 2024 will be an in-person conference which also accommodates a rich virtual experience. We recognize that participants may have different resources available to them, and seek to foster an accessible and inclusive conference. Thanks to the generous support of ACM SIGWEB, we will provide a number of Fair Access Student Participation Awards, which would provide selected applicants with a free-of-charge registration for Virtual Participation.
To be eligible, the student applicant must be connected to a university or research laboratory, which is based in a country designated by ACM as “economically developing”. Further preference may be given to those coming from underrepresented regions. Applicants do not need to have an accepted paper to be eligible.
