Getting There: Merida International Airport (MID) serves as the main gateway to the city.  You can reach the conference venue and accommodations via taxi, Uber, or shuttle service.  Public transportation is also available from the airport to the City Center and Hotel District by Va y Ven public transportation service.  Buy a vayven card at the ADO desktop to take the bus for US$2.50

Safety: Mérida is considered one of the safest cities in Mexico. Its crime levels are the lowest in the country, making it a reliable destination for conference participants.

Weather: March is a popular month in Mérida due to the pleasant weather. Daytime temperatures in Mérida tend to range from 25°C to 33°C (77°F to 91°F). It can get quite warm during the day, so light and breathable clothing is advisable. However, evenings can be cooler, so it’s a good idea to bring a light jacket or sweater. However Merida has a tropical climate, so dress comfortably and pack sunscreen.

Transportation:
Merida is a walkable city. The Centro Internacional de Congresos and most of the tourist attractions are within walking distance from the City center. The city is easily visited on foot, and taxis, Ubers and local buses are readily available for longer journey.
